Von Gewächshäusern, Hüten und Liebreiz Of Glasshouses, Care and Gracefulness
7th October ~ 11th November 2016 Cuore di Vetro, Berlin
The exhibition setup (notably the plate glass, the organic soil and the velour paper) draws inspiration from glasshouses and botanical museums. The diaphanous veil (15 g/m² · 100% mulberry tree bark · handcrafted in accordance with the Thai tradition) evokes the water nebulisation, the herbarium paper and the Nebel (mist) of HauchnebelkabinetT.
The prints are on Hahnemühle FineArt Baryta paper (325 g/m² · 100% α-Cellulose) and they conceptually mirror the botanical specimens preserved by museums. Each exhibited work constitutes an ecosystem; upon the arrangement, the consequences of the interaction between pH and humidity of the soil and of the paper are unknown.
